Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated IT Technical Business Analyst to join the Fraud & Risk Systems team to work on Fraud and Crime Intelligence solutions.

  • BCom Information Systems qualifications, BSc. Computer Science or any other relevant qualification
  • Experience in Fraud and Crime Intelligence
  • Intermediate/ advanced SQL
  • Strong excel skills
  • Proficient in working with data, including data analysis and interpretation mandatory
  • Experience with Cloud platforms – AWS advantageous
  • Experience with automation and Machine learning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies a plus
  • Strong ownership and a self-starter
  • Holistic analysis of required risk and fraud solutions including source systems and integration requirements
  • Managing the implementation of new risk and fraud detection features and functionalities.
  • Collaborating with Forensic Analysis team, Security, CRM system owners, Big Data Platform team and other relevant business owners to implement new fraud solutions
  • Conducting interviews and workshops to understand the needs of stakeholders.
  • Documenting and analysing business requirements in a clear and concise manner
  • Developing use cases and user stories to define system functionality.
  • Defining integration requirements between other systems and the fraud system (Define SQL statements where required, API Swagger/OpenAPI specification)
  • Analysing data in accordance with internal data quality metrics.
  • Identifying and explaining patterns and trends within the data.
  • Communicating business requirements to the development team and ensure the development team develops solutions according to the required specification.
  • Organising, facilitating and providing input in user acceptance testing
  • Providing architectural and design input and updating architecture documents
  • Participating in backlog prioritisation, sprint retrospective and sprint planning
  • Conducting post implementation tests after every release and solving for operational issues
  • Providing support and input into Security and Privacy by Design Assurance (SPDA) process
  • Providing support in incident troubleshooting and draft change request where required
  • Presenting quarterly priorities at PI grooming and working with other teams to deliver priorities
  • Providing progress update in standups
