Are you passionate about workplace safety and ensuring compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

We are looking for a dedicated Health & Safety Officer to join our team and take the lead in maintaining a safe, compliant, and productive workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Health and Safety policies, procedures, and systems in line with legislation and company requirements.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and site inspections.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead safety training, awareness campaigns, and toolbox talks.
  • Ensure compliance with OHSA and relevant automotive/manufacturing regulations.
  • Collaborate with management and HR to promote a culture of safety and wellbeing.
  • Assist with HR compliance and employee wellness initiatives (advantageous but not the main focus).

Minimum Requirements:

  • Relevant Health & Safety qualification (SAMTRAC, NEBOSH, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in Health & Safety within a manufacturing or automotive environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • HR experience or background will be a strong advantage.
