What are we looking for?

We are seeking for Operations Assistant to handle a variety of tasks to support the manufacturing and production processes.

What do we expect from the candidate?

The candidate will be ensuring smooth operations and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. 

Follow all rules, policies, SOP's and regulations of the company and statuary legislation including the OSH Act.

Report & investigate any incidents / accidents and non- conformance immediately. 

The key responsibilities:

  • Ensure you receive a packing sheet for the day from supervisor.
  • Liaise with forklift operator to assist you to pick up required containers.
  • Ensure to inspect containers for cleanliness before use.
  • Inspect pallet condition before use.
  • Report any deviations noted within work environment
  • Fill containers to their required volumes
  • Ensure containers are properly labelled before filling and before they leave your area of work.
  • Ensure correct procedure is followed when filling flow bins by avoiding static.
  • Report any damaged equipment or spillage in the work area or any other incident.
  • Do daily dips.
  • Offload product into bulk designated storage tankers.
  • Ensure all required documentation for the task at hand is completed.
  • Ensure you meet your daily targets.
  • Follow any other reasonable instruction that may be issued.
  • Ensure housekeeping is up to company requirements.

If you possess…

Must-Have:

  • Grade 12/Matric.
  • Attention to detail.
  • 4 to 6 months relevant working experience within the chemical industry.
  • Must be physically fit to meet demands of the job. 
  • Forklift license will be added advantage.
