MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT - FACILITIES & MAINTENANCE

About The Job
The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor with the general building maintenance and repairs of facilities and maintaining machinery & production equipment. The

responsibilities may include cleaning buildings and rooms, and performing general maintenance and repair of the building, grounds, and equipment

About You
 Must have the ability to adopt practical approaches

 Must have strong maintenance / handy-man skills

 Planning, organizing, follow up and feedback

 Strong problem-solving skills and able to multitask

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 Goal driven and Service Delivery should be your passion

 Good verbal communication, with English the main medium of communication and other South African an

added advantage.

 Must show commitment - the position requires flexibility and after-hours availability when required

 Must be able to work well under pressure and achieve deadlines.

be able to carry out duties whilst keeping all needed parties informed

WHAT OTHER DETAILS / EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS MAKE OUR EYES LIGHT UP, YOU ASK?

  • Grade 10 - Matric.
  • Plumbing/Building experience advantageous.
  • 1 years' experience in a similar role (as a maintenance / builder/ plumber) a preference.
  • Experience in a Warehouse/Production environment, cosmetic machinery advantageous.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects with high attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain inhouse automation machinery (e.g. bottle filling machines etc) advantageous
