Parow Western Cape, South Africa Diesel Electric Full time R80 000 - R120 000 per year

INTERNAL SALES, DIESEL FUEL INJECTION (PAROW) Join our dynamic team at DIESEL-ELECTRIC (CAPE)(RF) (PTY) LTD, a leading automotive wholesaler dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our valued customers. We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable individual to fill the role of Internal Sales Representative specialising in Diesel-Fuel Injection at our PAROW Branch. Duties and Responsibilities:

Sales:

  • Proactively contact customers via email or phone to advise on promotions, market product lines, and facilitate sales representative visits when needed.
  • Meet a monthly sales target.
  • Expand the business across your major customer group which is the Diesel Pump Rooms.
  • Assist the Product Development Specialist with product range expansion and the introduction of new products.
  • Assist in finding new suppliers for Diesel parts.
  • Visit the main customers on occasion to maintain good relationships.
  • Assist the other sales staff with queries they may have on Diesel parts.
  • Accurately complete invoices with your sales code and customer details.
  • Open COD accounts for counter cash sales customers to expand the customer database.
  • Update and release backorders ensuring orders are placed for customers.

Customer Service:

  • Provide prompt updates on logistical, delivery, or supply issues that may impact customers.
  • Communicate potential account problems, such as credit limit concerns, to your line manager.
  • Greet and assist customers promptly, and provide timely feedback on messages, calls, and quotations.
  • Ensure correct parts are handed over to customers and never refer them to competitors.
  • Process customer claims and returns through the appropriate channels.

Administration:

  • Update customer information and keep track of claims and credits.
  • Diligently complete lost sales reports for any product that could not be supplied or was uncompetitive.
  • Attend stock-takes, company functions, and trade evenings as required.
  • Maintain a neat and organized workstation, adhering to dress code and appearance standards.
  • Perform additional ad-hoc duties as requested by Management.

Minimum requirements:

  • Matric.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Diesel Fuel Injection industry.
  • Trade Test and Training Certification in Diesel Fuel Injection will be highly advantageous.
  • Proven experience in sales in a similar role.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of the industry and products is advantageous.
  • Commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
