Job Title: Production Engineer

RPO Recruitment's client are seeking a motivated and experienced Production Engineer, specializing in packaging, to join their team in KwaZulu-Natal. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production process of packaging materials, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities:

- Plan, coordinate, and execute production schedules for packaging materials
- Monitor and analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement strategies to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production goals are met
- Train and supervise production staff to adhere to safety protocols and procedures
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during production
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Stay current on industry trends and advancements in packaging technology

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in production engineering, preferably in the packaging industry
- Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and materials used in packaging
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control standards
