An industrial automation firm that operates nationally is seeking an experienced engineer to manage special purpose machinery and automation projects. The position will involve conceptualizing solutions to solve the client's problem and then managing all aspects of the project including quoting, liaising with subcontractors, managing the installation team and working with the design team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
  • Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project
  • Confer with engineers, owners and subcontractors and adjustments to the duration of the project
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics or computer-generated reports
  • Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • A tertiary qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering or mechatronics
  • Previous experience in an industrial automation environment
  • Willing and able to travel from time to time (Local & international)

Package & Remuneration

  • Cost to company package on offer which includes pension fund benefit and 13th cheque dependent on company and individual performance (To be discussed after interview phase)
