ROLE SUMMARY:

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Business Studies and Computer Applications Technology (CAT) Teacher to join our College team from January 2026. The successful candidate will inspire students through engaging, IEB-aligned lessons that encourage curiosity, independent thinking, and digital literacy.

This is a key teaching position suited to an educator who demonstrates professionalism, energy, and commitment to high standards of academic delivery and student care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Business Studies and CAT lessons aligned with the IEB curriculum.
• Establish a dynamic and supportive classroom environment that promotes active learning.
• Evaluate and reflect on teaching practice to ensure continuous improvement.
• Prepare, set, and mark assessments and all other forms of student evaluation.
• Write clear, constructive report comments and maintain accurate academic records.
• Participate actively in school life, including co-curricular activities and academic support sessions.
• Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues, maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
• Attend key school events as directed by the School Head or line manager.
• Undertake any other reasonable tasks as determined by the School Head.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• A relevant university degree in Business Studies, CAT, or a related field.
• A recognised teaching qualification and SACE registration.
• A minimum of 3 years' teaching experience in the senior phase (Grades 8–12).
• Proven experience teaching within the IEB curriculum (preferred).
• Confidence using technology and integrating ICT into the classroom.
• Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
• A commitment to fostering student engagement and academic excellence.
• The legal right to work in South Africa.
