Human Resources Manager

The position requires an HR manager to oversee the company's human resources department to align HR strategy with business goals. Key responsibilities include managing the employee lifecycle (recruitment, on-boarding, performance, and off-boarding), ensuring legal compliance with labor laws, and fostering a positive workplace culture through training, engagement, organisational planning, employee wellness and employee relations. This role also involves managing HR operations like payroll and benefits, and developing strategies for workforce and succession planning.
The successful applicant will
- have completed a degree in HR Management or similar, coupled with 5+ years experience in 360 HR Management, specifically in a technical, engineering or construction environment, with expert knowledge of contributing toward the success of the business through ensuring systems, policies, procedures and employee wellness programs are optimal and aligned.
- have solid experience in organizational planning and development, HR operations, Talent Management, Workforce planning, People/Performance Management and Compliance/Reporting
- have exceptional attention to detail, be motivating, have a "can do" attitude,
- communicate effectively and be results driven
- have contactable references, a clear criminal and credit record and it is to be noted that all qualifications and career history will be verified
Qualifications and Experience
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a HR management
- Proven experience in strategic HR implementation, performance management, and professional development.
- Strong knowledge of South African labour law and HR best practice.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- High emotional intelligence, integrity, and a genuine interest in people and culture.
- Thorough understanding of South African labour legislation
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and methodologies
- Excellent employee relations and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
This is not an entry level job and only candidates with the required qualification and experience will be considered.

Pay: R30 000,00 - R35 000,00 per month
