Graphic Designer and Social Media Specialist

Job Purpose

The Digital Content Designer is responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing the company's visual and digital content across multiple platforms. This role combines graphic design expertise with social media management skills to ensure consistent brand identity, engaging storytelling, and effective communication across all channels.

The incumbent will conceptualize creative campaigns, produce high-quality designs, manage social media platforms, and contribute to the overall digital marketing strategy of Carlcare Services South Africa.

Key Responsibilities1. Creative Design & Branding

• Design engaging visual content for marketing campaigns, social media, presentations, posters, brochures, newsletters, and corporate materials.
• Ensure that all creative outputs align with brand guidelines and visual identity standards.
• Support internal departments with design needs for events, reports, or training materials.
• Collaborate with management to conceptualize and execute marketing visuals and campaign assets.
• Manage and maintain a consistent visual library of brand assets and templates.

2. Social Media Management

• Develop and execute the company's social media strategy across all major platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X/Twitter, etc.).
• Plan and publish creative, relevant, and engaging content to grow brand awareness and audience engagement.
• Monitor page activity, respond to comments and messages, and manage online community engagement.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to source content ideas, success stories, and updates.
• Manage paid social media advertising campaigns and track performance results.

3. Content Development & Analytics

• Create multimedia content including images, videos, animations, and infographics for marketing and communication use.
• Write captions and social media copy aligned with brand tone and campaign objectives.
• Analyze performance metrics (reach, engagement, conversions) and prepare monthly reports with insights and recommendations.
• Keep up to date with design trends, social media algorithms, and digital best practices to enhance content effectiveness.

4. Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with HR, Operations, and Communications teams to support internal campaigns and announcements.
• Assist in developing materials for events, promotions, and community engagement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, Visual Communication, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in graphic design, social media management, or digital marketing.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects) and design tools like Canva.
• Experience using social media management platforms (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer).
• Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, trends, and analytics.

Pay: R15 000,00 - R25 000,00 per month
