Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel-powered yellow metal equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders, and other heavy machinery.
  • Ensure all repairs are completed to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy-duty equipment.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively to identify faults.
  • Develop and follow a preventative maintenance schedule to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance and safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts usage.
  • Complete job cards and service reports in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to workplace safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ensure all work areas and tools are kept clean and safe.
  • Work collaboratively with operators, engineers, and other team members
  • Provide technical support and training when required.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience working on yellow metal machinery.Proven track record of maintaining and repairing heavy-duty diesel equipment.Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.Familiarity with hydraulic systems, electrical circuits, and engine diagnostics.Valid drivers license (Code 14 advantageous)Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on call when necessary.Physically fit to perform the duties required.
