If diving deep into numbers, spotting patterns in big datasets, and turning complex portfolios into clear investment opportunities sounds like your thing, this role will be right up your alley. You'll get hands-on exposure to debt portfolios across multiple countries and industries, while helping shape pricing strategies that really make an impact.

You'll join a dynamic investment team in Cape Town where your analytical skills will drive real-world decisions. Expect exposure to South Africa, Namibia, and Botswana markets, a collaborative culture, and plenty of room to grow your expertise in financial modelling, valuation, and credit markets. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct pricing analysis of non-performing debt portfolios to determine fair market value.
  • Develop and maintain advanced financial models using techniques like DCF, Markov-chain, and runoff triangles.
  • Support investment executives with analysis and recommendations for potential deals.
  • Clean, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends and KPIs driving portfolio performance.
  • Contribute to automation and continuous improvement of the pricing process.

Job Experience and Skills Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years in financial modelling, valuation, or credit risk analysis; experience with non-performing debt portfolios a plus.
  • Strong Excel, SQL, Python, financial modelling, data analysis, valuation, and credit risk analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.
  • Statistical analysis experience preferred.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and a continuous learning mindset.
