CREDIT & DEBIT CLERK

Our client is a growing transport business that focuses on truck rentals. They are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Credit & Debit Clerk who enjoys structure, accuracy, and long-term stability. In this role, you will be a key support function in the company's financial administration and day-to-day documentation related to vehicles and licenses.

Key Responsibilities

Debtors & Creditors

  • Daily handling of debtors and creditors accounts

  • Reconciliations, following up on outstanding payments and processing payments

  • Maintaining neat and accurate records of all financial transactions

General Admin & PA Support

  • Administrative support to the owners / management (basic PA work as needed)

  • Filing, scanning and general document management

  • Preparing and printing reports, documents and contracts

Transport & Licensing Documentation

  • Managing and updating vehicle transport licenses

  • Keeping accident and insurance logs up to date

  • Following up with insurers where necessary

Trust & Financial Summaries

  • Basic administration relating to trusts as required

  • Preparing and maintaining diesel cost summaries and related reports

Operational Reporting

  • Maintaining attendance vs driver records (presence and driver schedules)

  • Ensuring all documentation is processed fully, accurately, and on time

Job Requirements
  • National Senior Certificate (Matric)

  • Recent, proven experience in both debtors and creditors

  • Computer literate and comfortable working with Microsoft Office

  • Ability to work accurately with figures and documentation

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills

  • Daaglikse hantering van debiteure- en krediteure-rekeninge

  • Rekonsiliasies, opvolg van uitstaande betalings en verwerking van betalings

  • Nette en akkurate rekordhouding van alle finansiële transaksies

Algemene Admin & PA-take

  • Administratiewe ondersteuning aan die eienaars / bestuur (PA-werk tussendeur)

  • Lêerwerk, skandering en algemene dokumentbestuur

  • Voorbereiding en druk van verslae, dokumente en kontrakte

Vervoer- en Lisensiedokumentasie

  • Bestuur en opdatering van vervoerlisensies vir voertuie

  • Hou van ongeluk- en versekeringstegniese logs up to date

  • Opvolg met versekeringsverskaffers waar nodig

Trusts & Finansiële Opsommings

  • Basiese administrasie rondom trusts soos deur die kliënt vereis

  • Opstel en byhou van diesel-opsommings en verwante kosteverslae

Operasionele Verslagdoening

  • Byhou van attendance vs driver-rekords (teenwoordigheid en bestuurderskedules)

  • Verseker dat dokumentasie volledig, akkuraat en betyds verwerk word

Minimum Vereistes
  • Matriek (Graad 12)

  • Onlangse en bewese ervaring in debiteure én krediteure

  • Rekenaarvaardig en gemaklik met Microsoft Office

  • Vermoë om akkuraat met syfers en dokumentasie te werk

  • Sterk administratiewe en organisatoriese vermoë
