About the role:

The role of the analyst will be to assist in the origination and execution of equity private placements, mergers and acquisitions, debt and capital structure advisory and other financial consulting work. The role is based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Key responsibilities:

Supporting senior bankers in origination and execution efforts

Create and maintain comps

Create financial models and other financial analysis

Prepare company profiles

Assist in preparation of information memorandum, management presentations, board documents, memoranda and other client deliverables

Maintain data room on behalf of clients

Research on industries with high impact

Interact with clients and other advisers

Supporting senior management in the development of the organisation

Requirements:

Passion to change the world and desire to have a long-lasting positive impact on the African continent

Recent graduate or candidates with up to one year of experience in investment banking or corporate finance, including relevant internships

Very strong analytical skills with high attention to detail

Strong communication skills, and ability to interact with clients and other advisers

Ability to work in hybrid model, both in office and work-from-home 

Strong academic background

Ability to work in SA (SA national, permanent resident or valid work permit) and travel across Africa
