We are looking for a dedicated and meticulous Quality Technician with a strong SHERQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality) focus to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for ensuring our products and processes consistently meet the highest quality standards while adhering to safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Quality Control:
    • Perform inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
    • Identify and document any non-conformances and deviations.
    • Use various measuring tools and equipment to collect quality data.
    • Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality metrics.
  • Safety and Health:
    • Assist in implementing and maintaining safety protocols and procedures in the workplace.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
    • Participate in safety training and promote a safety-conscious culture.
    • Report any safety concerns or incidents to the SHERQ Manager.
  • Environmental Compliance:
    • Assist in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
    • Monitor waste management and recycling processes.
    • Identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact and promote sustainability.
  • Risk Management:
    • Assist in identifying and assessing potential risks in the workplace.
    • Implement risk mitigation measures and control procedures.
    • Report any potential risks or hazards to the SHERQ Manager.

Qualifications:

  • National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in a quality control or inspection role, preferably in the manufacturing or construction industry.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and relevant industry standards.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good report writing skills to document findings.
