Job Purpose

The Risk Manager will be responsible for two key areas the first being enhancing the bank's risk data aggregation and reporting capabilities (RDARR), ensuring robust data governance practices, supporting model management and validation processes, and driving automation across risk, regulatory and management reporting. The role plays a key part in strengthening data integrity, improving reporting efficiency, and supporting compliance with BCBS 239 principles. The second focus area will be on credit management.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Risk Data Aggregation & Reporting (RDARR)


• Implement and maintain data aggregation processes aligned to BCBS 239 and internal RDARR frameworks.


• Support the design and automation of risk dashboards and management reports across credit, market, liquidity, and operational risk.


• Ensure timely, accurate, and complete data for internal and regulatory risk reports.


• Monitor and remediate data quality issues impacting risk reporting.

  1. Data Governance


• Contribute to the development and enforcement of sound data governance policies and standards.


• Work with data owners to define data lineage, metadata, and quality metrics.


• Perform data quality assessments and coordinate issue remediation.


• Support the maintenance of a central data dictionary and governance repository.

  1. Model Management


• Support the model lifecycle management process, including model documentation, validation coordination, and periodic reviews.


• Assist in maintaining the model inventory and ensuring adherence to internal model governance frameworks.


• Work with model owners to ensure data inputs, assumptions, and outputs are properly validated and traceable.

  1. Report Automation & Technology Enablement


• Lead automation initiatives to streamline regulatory and management reporting processes.


• Develop and maintain reporting scripts, data pipelines, and dashboards


• Collaborate with IT team to enhance reporting platforms and data warehouse capabilities.


• Support implementation of new reporting tools or systems as part of digital transformation initiatives.

  1. Credit Management


• Ensure adherence to the credit policies and procedures of the bank


• Develop tools to monitor the status of the credit portfolio;


• Manage and maintain the IFRS 9 model, including quarterly and annual parameter updates


• Support the credit approval team with credit assessments, review of post loan monitoring reports, annual reviews, deal forum applications, etc.

General


• Assist the CRO in adhoc tasks and projects


• Perform secretarial duties for forums and committees, as required


• Provide backup to fellow colleagues within the department


• Engage with third parties such as external audits, regulators, industry bodies and service providers


• Engage with internal stakeholders such as internal audit, department heads, etc.
