We're looking for a
dynamic and impact-driven professional
to join our team as an
ESD & SED Beneficiary Sourcing Specialist
— a key role that connects purpose, compliance, and sustainable development.

In this role, you'll be responsible for sourcing, vetting, and managing beneficiaries for our Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) and Socio-Economic Development (SED) initiatives, ensuring all recommendations are prepared for final review and sign-off by the Head of ESD/SED. Your work will directly support B-BBEE objectives, align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and help drive inclusive economic growth across communities.

What you'll do:

Beneficiary Sourcing & Pipeline Development

  • Research and profile potential SMMEs, NPOs, and community organisations and service providers aligned with ESD and SED criteria.
  • Build and maintain a structured beneficiary pipeline that reflects diversity, inclusion, and strategic alignment.
  • Prepare shortlisted beneficiaries for review and sign-off by the Head of ESD/SED, ensuring all recommendations are fully substantiated.
  • Partner with incubators, accelerators, chambers of commerce, and other networks to expand sourcing opportunities.

Due Diligence & Compliance

  • Conduct in-depth due diligence on potential beneficiaries — including registration, tax, governance, and operational checks.
  • Ensure full compliance with B-BBEE legislation and internal governance standards before submission for approval.
  • Maintain comprehensive beneficiary documentation and audit-ready files for verification and sign-off processes.

Impact & SDG Alignment

  • Map beneficiaries to relevant UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) (e.g. decent work, gender equality, climate action).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all recommended beneficiaries contribute to measurable social and economic outcomes, such as job creation and youth empowerment.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a key liaison between clients, beneficiaries, and internal teams, ensuring alignment on sourcing and approval processes.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships and represent the company at industry events and impact forums.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Track and measure impact through data analysis, dashboards, and success stories.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to enhance sourcing strategies and strengthen future beneficiary approval and programme design.
  • Continuously identify areas for improvement within the vetting and sign-off process to ensure efficiency and compliance.
