Role Overview

As a 
Business Analyst
 at GP InfoTech, you will be at the intersection of strategy, technology, and operations. You'll work closely with clients and internal teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and solutions — helping shape and deliver digital transformation projects that drive real impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders (internal and client-side) to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Conduct workshops, interviews, and process-mapping sessions to understand current state and envision future state.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
  • Work with the software development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure clarity of requirements and alignment during design and build phases.
  • Validate deliverables (e.g., wireframes, prototypes) against business objectives.
  • Assist in prioritizing features, making trade-offs, and managing the product backlog.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT): define test criteria, coordinate UAT, and document outcomes.
  • Perform gap analyses between current systems and proposed solutions.
  • Monitor project progress, report status, and raise issues/risks to project stakeholders.
  • Liaise with the client to provide regular updates, present findings, and make recommendations.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve business processes using data-driven insights.
  • Support change management activities (training, communication, rollout) to ensure smooth adoption of new systems.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years' experience as a Business Analyst (or similar role), ideally within a software development or IT consultancy environment.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar for requirements tracking and collaboration.
  • Proficiency in modeling business processes (BPMN, UML, flowcharts).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
  • Ability to interface professionally with clients and translate technical ideas into business-focused language.
  • Experience in data analysis, and ability to leverage data to inform business decisions.
  • Attention to detail, with strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in cloud-based, AI, IoT, or microservices projects is a bonus.
