Store Supervisor-Northern

A vacancy for Store Supervisor has become available at the Readers Warehouse Store.

Key performance Areas:

NB: Book Experience non negotiable

  • Must have 3-4 years book experience
  • Identify ideal stock levels per book category with the Store Manager
  • Determine range per book category
  • Evaluate ordering records per book category
  • Implement category stock counts weekly and investigate variances
  • Process transactions when Sales assistants are not able to get through
  • Control front end supervisor float and maintain change requirements
  • Conduct daily cash ups, and contribute to submission of financials to head office
  • Conduct spot checks daily to ensure all stock is clean and neatly displayed
  • Conduct daily spot checks across the store to ensure display units are clean and dust free
  • Develop and implement methods to improve customer care results
  • Plan and create shifts and rosters. Evaluate shifts and rosters to optimize staff within budget, limiting use of casuals and overtime on a weekly and monthly basis

Minimum requirements & skills:

  • Computer literacy
  • Grade 12
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Sales Assistant within a Retail Store environment
  • Numerate, ability to understand and compile weekly financial reports required Written and verbal communication skills Decision-making abilities Interpersonal skills Adaptability and co operation with the vision of the organization Time management Delegation and co-ordination skills
  • Good attendance record
  • Clear disciplinary record
