About Us:

Bao Down is a vibrant restaurant in the heart of Greenpoint, known for its innovative menu, exceptional service, and friendly atmosphere. We take pride in offering our guests an unforgettable dining experience, combining bold flavors and impeccable service in a laid-back yet stylish environment.

We are currently looking to hire 1 experienced Waiter to join our dynamic team. If you are passionate about hospitality, enjoy working in a fast-paced setting, and have a flair for delivering excellent customer service, we'd love to meet you

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding service to our guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience from start to finish.
  • Take orders, serve food and drinks, and ensure all guest needs are met with efficiency and professionalism.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of our menu, wine list, spirits, and cocktails to make recommendations and answer guest questions.
  • Mix and serve cocktails in the bar area, ensuring all drinks are prepared to a high standard.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar and dining area, ensuring the restaurant's high standards of hygiene and safety are met.
  • Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
  • Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Help create a positive, team-oriented atmosphere in the restaurant.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a professional restaurant or bar setting.
  • Wine, spirit, and cocktail knowledge – a passion for beverages
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with a warm, approachable demeanor and the ability to engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast paced environment, managing multiple tasks and maintaining high service standards during busy periods.
  • A strong team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive working environment.
  • Must have reliable transport to commute to Greenpoint for shifts.
