We are seeking an experienced Theatre Scrub Nurse with extensive theatre draping knowledge and clinical expertise. The successful candidate will confidently guide theatre teams on the correct use of Priontex products, recommend tailored solutions based on clinical requirements, and support the implementation of best practices in theatre environments. Full product training will be provided to ensure success in this specialised role.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on theatre draping standards, techniques, and best practices.
- Demonstrate and train theatre staff on the correct use and application of Priontex products.
- Recommend Priontex draping solutions tailored to clinical needs and theatre workflows.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with theatre managers, surgeons, nursing teams, and CSSD staff/stock controllers.
- Support hospitals in achieving operational efficiency and compliance with sterile techniques.
- Monitor product usage and ensure timely reordering to maintain supply continuity.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide feedback on market trends, product performance, and customer needs.
Requirements
- Nursing Degree or Diploma.
- 5–7 years of dedicated theatre scrub nurse experience with strong draping and sterile technique expertise across all surgical disciplines.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English (speaking, writing, and understanding).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Confident communicator, able to engage theatre teams professionally and clinically.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to explain products effectively in a theatre environment.
- Ability to work independently, plan routes, and manage multiple hospital accounts efficiently.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently.
