This is your launchpad into the competitive and rewarding medical device industry. As an Orthopaedic Scrub Technician, you will be the critical link between our specialised products and the clinical success of the procedure.

Your primary role is to support orthopaedic surgical teams in theatre by mastering the preparation, handling, and maintenance of our advanced instrument sets. You will gain invaluable, hands-on experience by upholding strict sterile conditions and directly facilitating the surgeon's work during critical procedures.

This entry-level position is designed to build deep clinical skills and product mastery, laying the essential groundwork for progression into sales roles within the company.

Key Responsibilities

Surgical Scrub Support: Function as the primary scrub support for Pinnacle products in orthopaedic theatre cases, proactively managing and presenting instruments and implants to the surgical team.

Sterile Field Management: Uphold and enforce meticulous sterile protocols and attention to detail during instrument preparation, case support, and post-procedure cleaning/packing.

Product Expertise: Serve as the on-site product expert, ensuring all equipment is correctly assembled, functional, and available according to the procedure's requirements.

Knowledge Acquisition: Actively shadow senior specialists and clinical teams to develop deep clinical insights and a comprehensive understanding of orthopaedic surgical flow and techniques.

Logistics & Administration: Provide essential logistical and administrative support, including inventory tracking, system updates, and documentation (using MS Office/new systems).

High Standards: Proven meticulous attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to strict sterile and clinical protocols.

Communication & Teamwork: Exceptional ability to communicate clearly and effectively, collaborating seamlessly with surgical teams, sales, and logistics staff.

Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word) and the ability to quickly master new administrative or inventory systems.

Advantageous Qualifications

A Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in a relevant field, such as:

Theatre Nursing/Scrub Technician qualification or Operating Department Assistance (ODA)

Medical Science, Biokinetics, or Anatomy/Physiology

Biomedical or Clinical Engineering

A basic foundational understanding of orthopaedic implants, instruments, and surgical procedures.
