Key Responsibilities

Sales Order Processing

  • Receive and verify export sales orders.
  • Confirm pricing, delivery requirements, and resolve commercial queries.
  • Capture orders accurately and update customers on any changes.
  • Maintain debtor control during order processing.

Export Documentation

  • Prepare quotations, costing sheets, proforma invoices, and order confirmations.
  • Manage stock availability issues and coordinate dispatch details.
  • Prepare forwarder instructions, open shipping files, arrange inspections, and ensure correct delivery of cargo.
  • Send copy and original documents to customers.

Customer & Sales Communication

  • Acknowledge orders, provide transport schedules, and share dispatch/arrival updates.
  • Courier documents and handle customer queries as per instructions.

Service Provider Coordination

  • Update transport rates, secure bookings, and communicate hazardous cargo requirements.
  • Arrange inspections and obtain shipping documents.
  • Ensure timely and accurate information flow between parties.

5. Initial Debt Management

  • Monitor outstanding payments and manage debtor queries.
  • Escalate non-payments.

Qualification & Experience

  • Grade 12 Senior Certificate / Matric
  • Tertiary qualification an advantage
  • Haz/Dangerous Goods Certification an advantage
  • 2 years' or more with relevant export experience
  • Haz/Dangerous goods shipping experience
  • Exposure to FCL/LCL/ Sea, Road and Air freight shipments
