The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in promoting composite materials, expanding the customer base, and contributing to the growth of the industry in South Africa.
The Sales and Business Development professional will be responsible for driving sales, fostering strong customer relationships, and enhancing brand visibility in a competitive market. This role requires a proactive, self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams, including supply chain, finance, and administration.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesPromote, market, and sell a portfolio of composite products to create strong brand awareness in the South African market.
Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers while securing new business opportunities.
Work collaboratively with industry stakeholders to encourage the adoption of composite materials as viable alternatives.
Conduct sales administration activities, including forecasts, monthly reports, and budgeting.
Plan and execute sales strategies to achieve targets and maximize revenue.
Actively contribute to the management and control of the debtors' book.
Provide technical support where necessary and address basic technical challenges related to the products.
Strong, confident personality with proven leadership capabilities.
Track record in sales and marketing, preferably within technical or industrial sectors.
Comfortable operating in a highly competitive market environment.
Self-starter, able to work independently or alongside a team of sales personnel.
Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams (supply chain, finance, and administration).
Prior knowledge or experience in the composites industry is advantageous.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
