Institutional Client Services – Business Development

We are looking for a strategic and client-focused professional with a strong background in investment management, actuarial science, and business development. This is a high-impact role that will drive the growth of our institutional client base and support the delivery of tailored investment solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage long-term relationships with institutional clients (pension funds, insurers, corporates).
  • Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities within the institutional market.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customised investment proposals and product solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to trustees, investment committees, and executives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments to inform strategic positioning.

Requirements

  • MBA from an accredited institution
  • Actuarial qualification (e.g. FASSA or equivalent)
  • 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in institutional business development, actuarial consulting, or investment management.
  • Solid understanding of investment products, asset allocation, and retirement fund regulations.
  • Proven ability to influence and engage with C-suite, boards, and trustees.
  • Strong presentation, analytical, and communication skills.
