Overview:
The Production Manager in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment will be responsible for overseeing the entire manufacturing process to ensure that products are produced efficiently, safely, and at the highest quality standards. This role ensures optimal use of resources, adherence to production schedules, and continuous improvement across all production operations.

Key attributes Required:

  1. Production Manager – Meat/Food Manufacturing Industry experience, Diploma/Degree in Operations Management/Engineering
  • Production Management & Planning, Staff Leadership & Development, Care for Equipment's and facilities, Operational Reporting & Coordination, Product traceability procedures.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and oversee daily production operations to meet output, quality, and efficiency targets.

  • Manage production schedules, workforce allocation, and workflow to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.

  • Ensure all production processes comply with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP, ISO).

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production yield, waste, and equipment efficiency.

  • Lead and motivate production teams to achieve performance and quality goals.

  • Coordinate maintenance and technical support to ensure minimal equipment downtime.

  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Liaise with procurement, quality assurance, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth production flow.

  • Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and packaging to prevent production delays.

  • Prepare and present production reports, performance reviews, and improvement plans to senior management.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes, lean production, and quality systems.

  • Proficient in production planning and ERP/MRP systems.

  • Analytical mindset with a focus on efficiency and cost control.

  • Effective communication and people management abilities.

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Production Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

  • 5–7 years of experience in production or operations management, preferably in the FMCG industry.

  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO standards, and other quality systems.

  • Proven experience managing teams in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
