Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of musicians to deliver exceptional performances in various venues onboard the cruise ship

Collaborate with the Entertainment Manager to create a diverse and engaging repertoire of music, including Caribbean classics, popular hits, and traditional island tunes

Conduct regular rehearsals and provide feedback to ensure the band's performances are of the highest standard

Coordinate with other departments, such as the sound and lighting team, to ensure smooth and seamless performances

Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times, representing the company and the band in a positive light

Uphold all safety and security protocols on board the ship, including participating in safety drills and training sessions

Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration among the band members

Be available to perform at various times throughout the day and evening, including during special events and themed nights

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a band leader or musical director

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team

Extensive knowledge and experience in Caribbean music, including reggae, calypso, and soca

Proficient in playing at least one instrument and able to read sheet music

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Flexibility and adaptability to perform in a variety of settings and styles

Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical examination and obtain necessary travel documents
