Level:
Senior Management

Direct Reports:
HR Officers / Representatives within Business Units / Operations, a manager of managers role.

Purpose

Lead and execute
strategic and operational HR initiatives
across RDC Property Group.

Act as a
trusted HR Business Partner
to senior leadership and operational managers, aligning people strategies with business goals, driving performance, and fostering a high-engagement, values-driven culture.

Key Responsibilities

HR Strategy & Leadership:

  • Maintain job descriptions and role clarity across business units.
  • Lead recruitment, talent acquisition, and early-career programs.
  • Integrate employees from acquisitions, ensuring cultural alignment.
  • Implement performance management, career development, and recognition programs.
  • Benchmark compensation and establish internal salary bands.
  • Develop KPIs, incentive structures, and HR analytics dashboards.
  • Draft, update, and enforce Group HR policies, ensuring compliance with labour laws.

HR Business Partnering:

  • Advise senior leadership on talent management, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Support operational managers in employee relations, performance management, and team development.
  • Coach leaders on succession planning, capability building, and change management.
  • Identify learning needs and oversee development programs.
  • Promote company values, equity, wellbeing, and collaboration.

Employee Engagement & Culture:

  • Lead engagement initiatives, including surveys and follow-ups.
  • Act as a cultural ambassador to embed values and drive retention.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Adoption and impact of HR policies and systems.
  • Recruitment success and retention of key talent.
  • Leadership satisfaction with HR support.
  • Employee engagement and culture metrics.
  • Compliance with labour regulations.
  • Effective integration of acquired employees.
  • Data-driven workforce planning decisions.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field; postgraduate preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years HR experience, with 5+ years in leadership and HRBP roles.
  • Proven HR Business Partner experience with senior management.
  • Knowledge of South African and/or Botswana labour laws (ready to learn other regional jurisdictions labour laws).
  • Skilled in HR analytics, reporting, and workforce planning.
  • Professional HR certification (CIPD, SHRM, SABPP) preferred.
