Klipboard South Africa is a market leader in the development and provision of trading and financial software environments for specialist Distribution, Wholesale, Merchant and Retail industry sectors, addressing single- or multi-branch operations, as well as catering for organisations with 'point-of-sale' showrooms and warehouse

The Sales Director will lead the internal sales strategy for software solutions, ensuring revenue growth through direct customer engagement while leveraging partners for implementation and delivery. This role focuses on driving internal sales performance, managing strategic accounts, and coordinating with partners to guarantee successful project execution.

Working closely with the Managing Director and other executive board members keeps them informed of key deliverables and revenue and will ensure that operations continuously improve and perform.

Key Responsibilities: 

Duties include:

  • Sales Leadership
    • Develop and execute the internal sales strategy for software products.
    • Drive pipeline growth and close high-value deals directly with customers.
    • Set and monitor sales targets for the internal team.
  • Partner Facilitation
    • Coordinate with implementation partners to ensure seamless delivery of solutions sold.
    • Act as the liaison between customers, internal teams, and partners for project success.
    • Maintain strong relationships with partner managers to ensure capacity and quality standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with product, marketing, and delivery teams to align sales efforts with company goals.
    • Provide feedback to improve partner enablement and customer experience.
  • Performance Management
    • Track and report on sales performance, forecasting, and revenue achievement.

Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software sales, preferably in enterprise or SaaS environments. 
  • Proven ability to lead internal sales teams and manage complex deals. 
  • Strong understanding of partner ecosystems and implementation processes. 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Strategic and results-driven mindset. 
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders (internal and external). 
  • Strong analytical and forecasting skills. 
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and enterprise sales methodologies.
  • Ability to travel
