Assistant Laundry Master

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Laundry Master in overseeing the daily operations of the onboard laundry facilities

- Manage and supervise a team of laundry attendants

- Ensure that all laundry is washed, dried, and folded in a timely and efficient manner

- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed

- Train new laundry attendants and provide ongoing training and support to existing team members

- Maintain a clean and organized laundry area, following all safety and sanitation guidelines

- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the Laundry Master

- Assist with the sorting and distribution of laundry to guest cabins and crew areas

- Handle guest laundry requests and ensure timely delivery of their items

- Maintain accurate records of laundry inventory and usage

- Assist with the preparation of laundry budgets and cost control measures

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience

- Uphold the company's standards of excellence in customer service and cleanliness at all times

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospitality or cruise line industry

- Strong leadership and organizational skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Knowledge of laundry equipment and procedures

- Basic understanding of budgeting and cost control

- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time

- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
