Job Function

The primary purpose of this role is to manage payment, posting and matching all receipts and payments in the bank accounts and conducting thorough reconciliations for all bank and petty cash bank accounts.

The role involves a high-level accuracy and maintenance of compliance with Group policies. A strong emphasis on accuracy, compliance with Group policies and service quality is paramount for this role. The ideal candidate should be skilled in the use of excel.

Key Performance Areas:

Cashbook:

  • Daily upload of bank statements from Nedbank into SAP and Accpac
  • Daily cashflow (monitoring of incoming & outgoing funds)
  • Maintenance and administration of Nedbank accounts, including signatories
  • Preparation and uploading of payments into Nedbank
  • Managing payment release within required timelines.
  • Administration of customer debit orders and payments
  • Administration of supplier debit orders and payments
  • Administration of branch petty cash accounts (bank statements & controlling of slips)
  • Bank reconciliation and processing of bank charges and correction journals
  • Preparation of foreign payments and submission to signatories for approval.

General:

  • Update SOPs and Work Instructions if needed.
  • Ensure high standard of provided service and make recommendations to improve and streamline processes and interactions.

Qualifications Required:

  • Related Business Degree / Diploma preferred.
  • OR 3+ years cashbook experience.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Minimum 3 Years' experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a global or large regional environment.
