About the Role

We're looking for a creative, proactive Junior Social Media Coordinator to support our marketing and content efforts across LinkedIn, Instagram, and other platforms. This is an entry-level role ideal for a recent graduate or someone with 6–18 months of experience in content creation and digital marketing.

You'll work closely with the Head of Marketing to bring our community stories to life, promote events, and maintain Innovation City's brand visibility and engagement online.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support live event coverage through photos, videos, and short-form content (Reels, Stories, LinkedIn posts).
  • Write concise, on-brand captions and help adapt long-form content into social snippets.
  • Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and flag key interactions.
  • Assist with graphic design (Canva templates, simple video edits).
  • Update website news/blog sections and assist with newsletters when required.
  • Maintain a monthly social media calendar.
  • Track analytics and prepare reports on performance and engagement growth.
  • Support broader marketing activities, including photoshoots, event setup, and promotional campaigns.

Requirements:

  • Passion for innovation, startups, and the tech ecosystem is a plus.
  • Relevant diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years' experience in social media or marketing coordination (internships count).
  • Solid understanding of major social media platforms and content trends.
  • An exceptional personal social media presence — your own platforms should reflect creativity, consistency, and a clear understanding of audience engagement.
  • Strong writing and grammar skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Canva and basic design/video editing tools.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
