Process Engineer

Our client is a supplier to the automotive industry
located in Uitenhage
. They are looking for an experienced
Process Engineer, reporting to the Manufacturing Engineer
to support and optimize manufacturing processes, with a focus on Premium Wrapping/Sewing.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- National Diploma or Bachelor's degree
in
Mechatronics
. - 5+ years
automotive engineering experience including Premium Wrapping/Sewing experience in a reputable automotive company - Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to travel locally and internationally 15–20% of the time
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement and optimize processes for new and existing components.
- Support start-up of Premium Wrapping/Sewing machines and develop standards.
- Prepare customer samples with Plant & Project teams.
- Train Operators and support Maintenance with troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement (SMED, scrap reduction, quality improvements).
- Lead QRCI and FMEA processes.
- Define/update cycle times and manage process parameters, tooling, and equipment buy-offs.
- Support Engineering Changes and product development interface.
- Provide after-hours support when required.
