QUALITY ENGINEER – Where Precision Meets Performance

Do you enjoy diving deep into root causes, improving part performance, and ensuring components meet spec over their full lifecycle?

We are recruiting a Quality Engineer for an exciting opportunity in Kariega — ideal for someone with solid automotive/manufacturing experience and strong quality engineering knowledge.

This is a permanent staff role with excellent benefits and opportunities for growth.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Managing the qualification programme for new part introductions

  • Ensuring components meet specification throughout their life cycle

  • Leading continuous improvement, root-cause analysis and corrective actions

  • Testing & evaluating parts for function, materials, and durability

  • Providing technical expertise on interior components and systems

  • Initiating design improvements for complex part-related challenges

  • Processing local and CKD supplier claims

  • Working cross-functionally with engineering, suppliers, quality, and production teams

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING Essential

  • National Diploma/Degree in: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Polymer Engineering

  • 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong knowledge of vehicle parts, specifications, functions & systems

  • Understanding of parts manufacturing processes & testing methods

  • Proficiency in Quality Tools (DOE, SPC, FMEA, 8D)

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings

  • Strong analytical/problem-solving ability

  • Excellent written & verbal communication

  • MS Office proficiency

  • Able to travel (local & international) at short notice

  • Valid driver's licence
