Purpose of the position
The Brand and Communications Associate will support the Marketing Manager in managing all brand touchpoints and ensuring consistent, high-quality communication across channels. This role requires exceptional writing skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of brand management within a business and financial services environment. The successful candidate will ensure that all internal and external communications reflect the brand's tone, values, and strategic objectives. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining brand consistency, contribute to the voice and tone of Futuregrowth communication, and enhance Futuregrowth's visibility and reputation.
Key responsibilities of the position
1. Proofreading, editing and writing:
o Writing, editing, and proofreading content for fund reports, client communications, event materials, and marketing collateral.
o Developing and maintaining staff bios, press releases, client letters, and holding statements.
o Supporting the development and maintenance of the brand style guide.
o Ensuring all content aligns with Futuregrowth's tone, brand guidelines and regulatory requirements.
o Developing and formalizing optimal editing processes and service-level agreements with other teams in the business.
o Providing backup support to the Content Specialist when needed.
o Adapting research and sourcing material to suit various audiences and platforms.
2. Brand Management:
o Compiling and coordinating brochures, reports, and branded documents.
o Liaising with design and content teams to ensure timely delivery of marketing assets.
o Assisting with event communications including invitations, blurbs, and post-event summaries.
o Working closely with design teams to ensure visual alignment with brand standards, including providing the copy for design work and brief completion.
o Conducting ongoing competitor benchmarking to evaluate Futuregrowth's positioning and offerings, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Knowledge and experience required
o Minimum of 3 years' experience in writing, editing, and brand communication,
o Journalism, financial or publishing background would be advantageous.
o Basic understanding of financial markets and the asset management industry
Technical/ professional qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree in marketing or journalism, or equivalent communications qualification.
