Oxford Freshmarket is looking for a Front-End Supervisor - Waterfall Store, who will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our checkout area by providing quality customer service to customers whilst managing the activities of the employees who work in the store's front-end area

Key responsibilities

· Oversee front-end team: cashiers, packers & service desk staff

· Compile weekly rosters & assign breaks

· Train and induct new employees (with special focus on fruit & veg items)

· Issue and collect cashier floats at shift start/end

· Ensure proper float sealing and register setup

· Complete cashier cash-ups & end-of-day safe procedures with manager

· Assist with SBV cash collections and ensure money is securely sealed and handed over

· Check and balance safes daily and ensure that there are sufficient coins in safes for change purposes

· Resolve customer queries and complaints

· Handle voids and ensure all are logged correctly

· Support the team in maintaining high service levels at all times

· Ensure all staff meet hygiene & dress code standards

· Monitor overall cleanliness and staff presentation throughout shift

· Complete daily paperwork and send reports to Head Office

· Do spot checks on tills and staff performance

· Place orders for front-end supplies (till rolls, bags, etc.)

Requirements

  • At least 4 years' of experience in retail and staff supervision
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Reliable, organised, and able to work under pressure
  • Confident with cash handling and customer service
