Zutari is currently seeking a Chief/Lead Resident Engineer who is a qualified Engineer (BTech/BEng/BSc.Eng) and who has at least 20 (twenty) years verifiable postgraduate experience (each) in construction monitoring and site supervision of contract work with a civil and mechanical interface, reinforced concrete, water retaining structures and pipelines.

Role Responsibilities

  • Project Management and Contract Administration of water or wastewater treatment related projects
  • Manages and Oversees the supervision of Civil and Mechanical and Electrical Works contract
  • Manages a site complement of 8-10 Employees
  • Administration of construction contracts as Contracts Engineer\Employer's Agent Representative \ Principal Agent including associated site supervision and administrative responsibilities, and dealing with construction queries
  • Be a team player that is willing to collaborate across multiple disciplines
  • Ensure that all work complies with Zutari's quality control procedures and ensuring that required quality standards are maintained

Minimum Requirements

  • Engineer, (BTech/BEng/BSc.Eng) and who has at least 20 (twenty) years verifiable post graduate experience (each) in construction monitoring and site supervision of contract work with a civil and mechanical interface, reinforced concrete, water retaining structures and pipelines
  • Professionally registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite products and in MS Projects
  • Project Management and construction related experience in civil engineering projects
  • Fully conversant in GCC and FIDIC general conditions of contract
  • Effective Communicator
