JOB SUMMARY

Maintenance planners are responsible for coordinating all plannable maintenance work on their premises. There are hundreds of small tasks that need to be done to keep machinery and equipment in operating.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Create and manage work plans, orders, and schedules for all maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective actions.

· Schedule maintenance activities across facilities, using CMMS

· Use data to predict maintenance needs

· Develop and implement maintenance processes and improvements throughout various departments

· Foster a culture of safety awareness through correct maintenance processes

· Organise spare parts inventories to prepare for emergency or preventative maintenance needs

· Record and monitor maintenance breakdowns, cost, action plan, preventive maintenance plan and maintenance KPI's

· Must be able to coordinate with external suppliers and service providers

· Perform other relevant activities depending on company's requirements

· Must be able to follow work instructions and procedures

· Identify and report hazards, incidents and near misses

· Must be able to read drawing and measurements

· Provide technical assistance to maintenance and production teams as needed.

· The ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to improve equipment reliability.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

·      Matric – Grade 12 Pass.

·      National Diploma and/or Degree or Equivalent in a relevant field such mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering

·      Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment.

·      
1 to 3 years working experience as a Planner
