**Position: Maintenance Planner**

Contract opportunities exists for Maintenance Planners (Fixed and HME) in the Mining Industry in the Northern Cape, South Africa.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- List tasks to be executed and sequence of tasks, identify constraints and risks of tasks, identify permit requirements, identify relevant work instructions and procedures, get input from execution team
- Review status report on daily basis to assist in prioritising planned work
- Plan approved work orders (Labour and materials, Tools, services, equipment & contract resources, Test and handover procedures, Task durations, etc)
- Support the Work Management process
- Work closely with engineering stores personnel to control spares and stock levels.
- Once a job is planned, prior to scheduling, verifies the availability of spares/ materials
- Ensure data is captured correctly to ensure information disseminated is correct and accurate
- Monitor job completion rates and report trends to the Engineering management team.
- Make recommendation for continuous improvement
- Ensure safety, legal and company policies are adhered to.

**Minimum Requirements**:
**Experience**:

- At least 5 - 10 years' experience in maintenance planning gained within the mining industry (Fixed and Mobile Plant)

**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12/ N3
- N4
- Trade Test certificate
