This is an opportunity to join a company where your technical and planning expertise will directly contribute to operational success.The Role: Maintenance PlannerAs a Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring optimum plant and vehicle availability by developing and implementing maintenance strategies and schedules. You will utilise advanced planning systems to coordinate preventative, proactive, and corrective maintenance, ensuring resources are effectively managed and safety standards are upheld.Key ResponsibilitiesMinimum 5 years experience as a maintenance planner, with a focus on mining environmentsImplement maintenance strategies and develop procedures for operational assetsConduct preventative, proactive, and scheduled maintenance planningDevelop detailed work packages from preventive maintenance findings and corrective actionsScreen corrective maintenance job cards and conduct root cause failure analysisLiaise between engineering and production staff to resolve procedural and equipment issuesAssist supervisors with technical problems and provide engineering guidanceAnalyse spare parts inventory and improve inventory control and procurement practicesCompile and deliver weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual maintenance reportsCoordinate detailed maintenance tasks per asset and ensure compliance with safety and statutory standardsApply best practice maintenance planning methods and safety technologiesAbout YouGrade 12 or at least 5 years proven experience as a Maintenance Planner (minimum)Minimum 3 years mining experience in a maintenance planning role (6 years preferred)Artisan trade test or equivalent plus Code 8 licence (advantageous)Strong knowledge of diamond plants, DMS, and recovery circuitsSolid understanding of maintenance planning best practices, processes, and principlesKnowledge of engineering standards and auditing practicesIn-depth understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in miningBasic computer literacy (MS Office essential)Strong teamwork, coaching ability, and capacity to work under pressureClear criminal record (security/police clearance required)Working Hours: 07:00 16:30, with overtime as required
