Role Description

We're looking for an experienced and proactive Intermediate IT Project Manager to lead

and deliver medium to large-scale IT projects including infrastructure upgrades,

application development, system implementations, cloud migrations, cybersecurity, and

data initiatives.

The ideal candidate will ensure successful delivery within scope, time, and budget —

while maintaining governance, quality, and stakeholder alignment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end project delivery from initiation to closure.


• Define scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.


• Develop and track project plans, risks, issues, and resource allocations.


• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors.


• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and present progress reports.


• Manage risks and dependencies with proactive escalation.

Minimum Qualifications & Certifications


• 3-year National Diploma (NQF 6) or higher in Project Management, IT, or

Information Systems.


• Mandatory Certification:

o Project Management Professional (PMP) or

o PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent.

  • • Agile / Scrum certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster) advantageous.

Preferred Attributes


• Membership with Project Management South Africa (PMSA) or South African

Experience Required


• Minimum 5 years' experience in IT project management.


• Proven track record in at least two of the following:

o Infrastructure & network upgrades

o Cloud migration

o Application development & implementation

o Cybersecurity projects

o System integration & modernization

o Data migration or BI projects


• Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies.


• Exposure to regulated industries (Financial Services, Telecoms, Public Sector)

beneficial.
