on-premise, cloud-agnostic (Azure & AWS), and containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes)

Role Overview

We are seeking a 
Tier 2 IT Technician

with strong technical troubleshooting skills and a proactive mindset. You will support and maintain servers, networks, and application environments, escalate complex issues to Tier 3/Architecture, and directly contribute to keeping mission-critical medical systems running.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 
    Tier 2 support

for servers, networking, applications, and security.
- Maintain and troubleshoot 
Windows Server, IIS, and Linux systems

(basic to intermediate).
- Manage 
Active Directory, Group Policies, and RDP configurations

.
- Support 
cloud services (Azure, AWS, Host Africa)

and assist in hybrid deployments.
- Monitor and troubleshoot 
network connectivity, firewalls (Meraki, CheckPoint), and VPNs

.
- Assist with 
Docker & Kubernetes environments

(basic administration, escalates deeper issues).
- Support 
LIMS-related environments

(application servers, database connections, client connectivity).
- Maintain 
backup, patching, and security compliance

standards.
- Document processes, incidents, and resolutions clearly.

Minimum Requirements

  • 3–5 years in an IT support/technician role.
  • Strong Windows Server & Active Directory experience.
  • Networking fundamentals (subnetting, routing, firewall rules, VPNs).
  • Exposure to Linux environments (Ubuntu/CentOS).
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure required, AWS a plus).
  • IIS & web applications deployment/management experience.
  • Familiarity with security protocols (SSL/TLS, MFA, RDP hardening).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice to Have

  • Docker / Kubernetes administration basics.
  • Experience with 
    medical systems / LIMS

- Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Previous exposure to regulated industries (healthcare, finance).
