The Role
 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Specialist – SAP Power User to provide expert user support, training, governance, and change management across our supply chain technology platforms.

Reporting to the Director, Technical Platform Support & Reporting, this role acts as a critical link between business operations and digital technology, ensuring seamless system functionality and continuous improvement.

The Key Responsibilities

User Support & Incident Management

  • Manage user incidents and requests through to resolution, ensuring service delivery and operational continuity.

Business–Technology Interface

  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the digital technology team to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.

Access & Governance

  • Oversee system access provisioning and monitoring to ensure compliance with governance frameworks (e.g., SOX, GIA).

Data Quality & Reporting

  • Maintain data integrity, support data extracts, and produce monthly and quarterly reports for incident management and system usage.

Testing & Change Management

  • Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) and lead change management activities for new system functionality.

Training & Continuous Improvement

  • Coach and train end users while identifying opportunities for process and technology enhancements.

The Requirements
 

  • 7-10 years' experience in supply chain technology
  • 7-10 years' experience in the supply chain department of a large scale mining company
  • Strong knowledge of source-to-pay, logistics, inventory, and governance workflows.
  • Proven SAP ECC and Ariba expertise with advanced analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven expertise in Excel, SQL and Power BI
  • Strong knowledge of SOX governance frameworks
  • Degree in Technical or Commerce field
  • SAP ECC (MM preferred) certification is critical
  • SAP Ariba certification preferred
  • Must have the right to work in South Africa
