We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the
Intermediate Software Developer.

Role Overview

As an
Intermediate
Software Developer
at Solar MD, you will play a key role in the development, testing, and optimization of our Java-based software solutions. You'll contribute to a variety of projects, including myWork24, our in-house warehouse management system; myPower24, a customer-facing monitoring portal, LoggerV2, our data logging and analysis software, as well as other tools used in factory production and operations. Your work will directly enhance software quality, system efficiency, and overall team productivity within the R&D Software Department.

Responsibilities

Software Development and Maintenance

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications that meet business requirements.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in line with company and industry best practices.
  • Ensure code accuracy and maintainability while continuously improving coding proficiency and applying feedback effectively.
  • Complete assigned development tasks within expected timelines to support smooth project progress.

System Optimization and Troubleshooting

  • Identify and resolve inefficiencies or technical issues in deployed systems.
  • Actively participate in software testing, identifying issues early, and documenting findings thoroughly.
  • Implement optimizations that enhance application scalability, performance, and resource utilization.
  • Contribute to improving system reliability by reducing downtime and response times for key applications.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with R&D Software team members to align development efforts with company objectives and project goals.
  • Participate in team meetings, providing updates, insights, and actionable feedback to enhance collaboration.
  • Contribute to improved alignment between software deliverables and organizational goals through proactive communication.
  • Foster a positive and cooperative team environment by sharing knowledge, offering feedback, and supporting peers.

Knowledge and skills

  • Diploma in a related technical field is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or related field.
  • 3+ years' experience in Java software development, including full-stack or back-end roles.
  • Proficient in Java and frameworks such as JakartaEE/Spring.
  • Thorough understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and RESTful APIs.
  • Good Understanding of relational databases like MySQL and ORM tools.
  • Analytical mindset to debug, troubleshoot, and optimize code efficiently.
  • A growth mindset and interest in staying updated on Java technologies and software development trends.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and effectively multi-task daily and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.
