We are seeking a vigilant and professional
Seasonal Lifeguard
to join our team and ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests around our pool area during Cape Town's vibrant summer season.

About The Role
As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment at the pool. You will monitor swimmers, enforce pool rules, respond quickly to emergencies, and assist guests with professionalism and care, ensuring every experience at The President is as safe as it is memorable.

Experience And Requirements
We are looking for an attentive and responsible individual who is passionate about guest safety and service.

Requirements

• Matric certificate (Grade 12)
• Valid Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certification (essential)
• Proven swimming ability and strong rescue skills
• Experience as a Lifeguard in a hotel, resort, or public facility (advantageous)
• Excellent observation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Calm under pressure with quick decision-making abilities
• Professional, well-groomed appearance and positive attitude
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise all guests in and around the pool area at all times
• Enforce pool rules and ensure safe behaviour is maintained
• Respond immediately and effectively to all emergencies or incidents
• Administer first aid or CPR when required
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the pool deck and surrounding areas
• Inspect and report on pool safety equipment and water quality daily
• Provide friendly assistance and information to guests, ensuring a welcoming experience
• Collaborate with the maintenance and housekeeping teams to uphold high hygiene standards
