Senior Municipal Pool Lifeguard
**Requirements**:

- A Grade 10 certificate
- Valid Level 1 First Aid certificate
- A valid lifeguard certificate would be an advantage
- At least 24 months (4 seasons) relevant lifesaving experience
- Proven supervisory experience would be an advantage
- Physically fit
- Clear criminal record and no pending criminal cases, awaiting trial

and/or pending sentencing cases
- Good communication and conflict handling skills and upholding

the image of the City at all times
- Drug free
- NOTE: All shortlisted applicants will be required to undergo

compulsory drug testing
- NOTE: All shortlisted applicants will be required to undergo

compulsory competency assessments
The main swimming pool season commences in October 2025.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for
appointment as seasonal staff on a NON-PERMANENT SEASONAL
“as-and-when-required” basis up to a maximum of 40 hours paid per
week, primarily over weekends, public holidays and during the school
holidays and festive season periods.
Key Performance Areas
**Job Purpose**:
Perform lifeguard duties and to supervise and train staff (Lifeguards)
to ensure the safety of patrons and to provide a clean and safe
facility.
**Key Performance Areas include**:

- Supervisory and administrative duties and deputizing for the Line

Manager as and when required
- Lifeguarding functions including the following:

- Patrolling, monitoring and controlling the pool and deck and
