We are seeking an experienced and strategic
Group Head of Supply Chain
to lead the company's global procurement and supply chain function. Reporting directly to the
Head of Finance
, this role will oversee end-to-end supply chain operations — from strategic sourcing and procurement through to logistics, inventory management, and supplier performance — across multiple mining sites.

This is a critical leadership position that will play a key role in driving efficiency, cost optimization, and value creation across the organization's supply chain network.

Qualifications:

  • Professional Procurement Designation (CIPS) or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years' experience in supply chain leadership roles
  • Mining, heavy industry experience

Salary:
R2mil to R2.5mil based salary (excludes medical aid, provident fund and performance bonus)

Skills:

  • Experience in managing supply chain and procurement operations in Africa jurisdictions
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to travel to mining sites once a month
  • Proven track record of leading complex, multi-site supply chain operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement group-wide supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives. This includes the development of centralised procurement as a shared service.
  • Lead transformation initiatives to improve supply chain performance, financial controls, operational resilience, and digital integration.
  • Oversee centralised and site-level procurement activities, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Oversee warehousing operations across multiple sites, ensuring inventory accuracy through improved controls.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks including geopolitical, environmental, and supplier-related risks.
