The
Store Manager
sets sales targets, develops strategies, and monitors performance to ensure continuous improvement. They manage budgets, oversee inventory, ensure compliance with company policies, and lead the store team to foster a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive store performance through KPIs (e.g., turnover, rewards, new accounts, visual standards).
  • Achieve turnover targets and control expenses.
  • Manage stock losses to keep shrinkage within company standards.
  • Ensure operational excellence with a customer-centric approach.
  • Implement merchandising strategies and maintain visual standards.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to meet customer demands.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff; manage performance and employee relations.
  • Create effective team schedules and allocate time efficiently.
  • Motivate and engage the team to maintain high commitment levels.
  • Manage risk within the store.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous.
  • Minimum 3 years retail store management experience.
  • Proven management experience in recruitment, staff development, and performance management.
  • Proven ability to drive sales and increase profit.
