Purpose of this role
The Operations Co-ordinator will oversee the day-to-day management of our workplace facilities while providing first-line support for basic technology set-up and troubleshooting. This role is key in ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment for the team, combining practical facilities oversight with hands-on technical problem-solving. A varied and dynamic role in a collaborative working environment.
What you will be doing
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the workplace facilities, ensuring safety, compliance, and smooth functioning.
- Oversee office equipment, maintenance schedules, and liaise with contractors and service providers.
- Monitor building services (e.g., heating, lighting, security, cleaning) and escalate issues as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage office supplies and equipment inventories.
- Invoicing and cost reconciliation on a weekly basis.
- Assist the team with IT set up and troubleshoot any issues.
- Provide first-line technical support for basic IT issues such as connectivity, hardware set-up, and peripheral devices.
- Assist with meeting room technology (projectors, video conferencing, smart boards) and troubleshoot issues promptly.
- Support new staff with workstation set-up (PCs, laptops, printers, etc.).
- Escalate complex IT issues to the relevant IT support team or external provider, ensuring timely resolution.
- Maintain accurate and updated records of IT assets and equipment assigned to staff.
- Complete regular IT asset audits.
Who you are
- 5+ years' experience in workplace operations, facilities or office management
- Highly organised with strong admin skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Process-driven, you value structure, documentation, and doing things properly
- Naturally service-oriented, with a strong internal customer mindset
- Tech-savvy and curious, comfortable with basic IT set-ups, troubleshooting, and device support
- Confident diagnosing issues across hardware, connectivity, peripherals, and meeting room tech
- A proactive problem-solve

- Clear, professional communicator, comfortable working with multiple stakeholders
- Calm under pressure and quick to respond when tech or facilities issues arise
