Requirements:

  • Grade 12 with mathematics
  • years knowledge of ISO 9001
  • Experience in the engineering, steel or laser cutting industry
  • In-depth knowledge of quality control processes, techniques, and tools.
  • Quality assurance qualification or certificate
  • Must have a Code 8 driver's licence
  • Computer Literate (Microsoft package)
  • Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Active listener and excellent communication skills

Key accountabilities for the role include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure Quality Assurance system procedures and work instructions are adhered to. Including maintenance and safety
  • Check whether line inspections are done correctly
  • Check whether QA inspections are done on operations levels
  • Train new employees on work instructions and inspections methods.
  • Ensure high QA records are used safely stored and maintained
  • Investigate and handle customers' complaints timeously
  • Investigate, report on NCRs and follow up on corrective action requests
  • Conduct regular internal audits on Q.M.S.
  • Liaise with management representative when procedures need to be amended
  • Liaise with Directors when procedures are not followed and on reasons for rejections
